Pavemint offers two different pricing options. As a Host, you can charge a variable rate, which means you set an hourly rate and Guests pay based on the length of their reservation, or you can charge a flat rate, which means Guests will pay the same amount regardless of how many hours they reserve. Flat rates are per day, which means if a Guest makes a two-day reservation, they will pay the flat rate twice.
The variable option is similar to a parking meter, whereas the flat rate option is the way that airport and stadium parking lots charge. If your listing is in an area where people come and go often, for example near restaurants, shops, stores or anywhere you see parking meters, you will most likely earn more by charging a variable rate. If you live near a sporting or event venue, we recommend you charge a flat rate. You also have the option of setting your listing to a variable rate but changing it to a flat rate on days when there are events that you know will have high parking demand. You can do this using the Calendar feature in the Manage Listings section.
